The Antiscion of a planet indicates a second place where a planet may enact its influence within the chart, in addition to its “bodily” location.
Antiscion often offers the connotation of obscurity, of something or someone hidden, or something being done or happening behind the scenes or “under the table”.
That is one possible connotation. It does not mean that the antiscion of a planet MUST ALWAYS be interpreted as something hidden. Thus it has to be interpreted as a bodily presence as well if the context requires.
In my practice, the seven inner planets’ antiscia on Fixed, Stars, Outer Planets are all valid testimonies. (I have not made up my mind about combustion yet.) Their weight and whether they have any “hidden” connotation will depend, as always, on the question and the context.
One example from my practice: will I enter university this year? L1 applies to conjoin L9 by antiscion: Yes, you will. And it proved so. The notion of “hidden” had no relevance in this case. The querent did not sneak into university through the kitchen or through a back-room deal.
